Our island's public roads are kept clean and accessible by our staff who undertake cleansing activities (such as strimming and sweeping) throughout the year in accordance with schedules as set by our client.
The team is deployed to deal with growth and debris on our island's roads, with well-used and hot spot areas in St Peter Port and St Sampson's being cleaned more often than the smaller and less used lanes in some of the other parishes. Our Cleansing Operatives work hard in all weather conditions to cut back nuisance weeds and other undesired plant growth to the paved backline of the road (where the road or pavement meets the boundary walls or hedges) which is then swept up by our specialist road sweeping vehicle (as pictured below), or by hand dependent on accessibility.
